(NEW YORK) — Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender groups, individuals, and friends will join together to remember and honor victims and their families and the many others affected by the tragedy of September 11.

On Monday, October 1 at 6:30 p.m., a huge gathering will take place in front of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center at 208 West 13th Street to demonstrate a renewed commitment to ending hate, prejudice, and intolerance. The program will include musical selections by the Gay Men’s Chorus of New York, soprano Aprile Millo, and the Gay Gotham Chorus.

The events of this past week continue to leave us all with a sense of unimaginable loss. This gathering will give us the opportunity to honor those we have lost and to connect with each other in a evening of diversity, unity, and hope.
