Lambda Legal Welcomes Judith Pfenninger: New Chief Financial Officer

(New York, January 26, 2010) - Today, Lambda Legal announces that Judith Pfenninger joins the staff as its Chief Financial Officer. As the CFO, Pfenninger is responsible for all aspects of Lambda Legal’s accounting, treasury and budgeting functions, and supervises all finance and database management staff.

Prior to Lambda Legal, Pfenninger served eight years as the CFO of SL Start, a diversified human and health services company which provides a wide variety of social, employment and long term care services. She was also a self-employed consultant in the areas of internal control and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for eight years and she has public accounting and consulting experience with both PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton.

"Judith brings over 25 years of public, private and nonprofit accounting experience to Lambda Legal," said Lambda Legal's Executive Director, Kevin Cathcart. "She will be an extraordinary asset to our team."

She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS Honors from Loyola University of Chicago. Pfenninger has served on the Board of Directors of several nonprofit organizations over the years, including Habitat for Humanity-Spokane, where she served as Treasurer and Director of the Finance Committee, and the Madison Opportunity Center, an agency that provided employment services to people with developmental disabilities in Wisconsin.
