Kayla Gore is a 33-year-old transgender woman who was born and currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee. Ms. Gore is a community advocate who has dedicated most of her career towards serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (“LGBTQ”) people in Tennessee. Currently, Ms. Gore works as a Southern Regional Organizer with TLC@SONG, which seeks to lift the barriers and break the isolation that prevents LGBTQ people in the South, particularly people of color, from participating fully in our economic, social, and political life. Prior to that, Ms. Gore worked at OUTMemphis, a Memphis-based community center that provides education, programming, and services for LGBTQ people in the Mid-South. Ms. Gore has corrected her name and gender marker to be consistent with her female gender identity in all her identity documents except her birth certificate, including Tennessee identification card, voter registration card, and social security records.

Jason Scott

Jason Scott is a 47-year-old transgender man who was born in Memphis, Tennessee and currently resides in Seattle, Washington. Mr. Scott works as a respiratory therapist at a Seattle hospital.
