Cooperating Attorney Network

Join the movement for equality—become a member of the Lambda Legal Cooperating Attorneys Network. Member attorneys serve as resources for callers to our Legal Help Desk who are seeking assistance on issues involving sexual orientation, gender identity/expression and/or HIV status in a specific practice area.

Dear Colleague:

As part of our national leadership in the struggle to achieve and defend the rights of lesbians and gay men, bisexuals, transgender people, gender-nonconforming people, and all people living with HIV, each year Lambda Legal's Help Desk welcomes contacts from thousands of community members facing discrimination and hardship. We provide information and resources, and we develop a number of requests for help into high-impact litigation. But many who contact us need legal advice in their communities, for cases that are not "test cases."

Although Lambda Legal does not make legal referrals, we do maintain contact information for attorneys who identify themselves as sensitive to LGBT and HIV-related issues.  We make this Cooperating Attorney Network available to community members in need.

In addition, we send occasional updates to our Cooperating Attorney Network, and in a few of our cases each year we request that a cooperating attorney join us as co-counsel.

Please consider joining the Cooperating Attorney Network by completing Lambda Legal's information form. If you have any questions, e-mail us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Very truly yours,

Stefan Johnson
Senior Help Desk Attorney
