Matthew Zaccagni joined Lambda Legal, the nation’s largest legal organization dedicated to securing the full civil rights of the LGBT community and everyone living with HIV, as a Major Gifts Officer in June 2016. In that role he oversees a portfolio of LGBT and allied donors in the North East, including New York, Connecticut, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.  Additionally, he works to implement the strategic development of Lambda Legal's Young Leadership Councils in New York and DC. Prior to joining Lambda Legal, Matthew worked as an Account Manager for Eidolon Communications, a direct response fundraising and member communications consulting firm specializing in non-profit, advocacy, and political clients. 

Matthew is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), where he serves on the New York City Chapter’s Young Professionals Leadership Committee, as well as a track co-chair for AFP’s Fundraising Day in New York.

Deeply passionate for equality, advocacy, and civic engagement, Matthew helped establish the Philadelphia Youth Commission in 2008 a group dedicated to advising the city’s leadership on legislation and policy effecting young people.  He also served as a voter registration and GOVT leader during Obama’s 2012 election. 

 Matthew holds a B.A. in Communications and Political Science from La Salle University.
