Lambda Legal is seeking a marketing manager responsible for conceptualizing and producing experiential, out-of-home and print marketing projects as well as celebrity and influencer engagement.

Who We Are

Lambda Legal is the nation’s oldest and largest legal organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and everyone living with HIV.

Since 1973, Lambda Legal has used impact litigation and other advocacy tools to decriminalize same-sex relationships; challenge discrimination against LGBT people and people living with HIV in the workplace, the home, in schools, in health care, and in the military; and protect LGBT families, including by winning and defending marriage equality. Clients are not charged for legal representation or advocacy and Lambda Legal receives no government funding. Headquartered in New York City, Lambda Legal has regional offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, and Washington, D.C.

What We’re Looking For

You are passionate about social justice, branding and marketing.

You are a hardworking, roll-up-your-sleeves rock star. You take initiative. You troubleshoot proactively. You anticipate needs and challenges and head them off at the pass.

You love communicating with and building rapport with your colleagues. You are a master tactician. The success of your team and the organization are your North Stars. Prima donnas need not apply.

“That’s not in my job description” is not in your vocabulary. You love attacking a problem, learning what’s needed to do so and building on your skill set. An organization’s needs grow and change, and you thrive on growth and evolution. You are adaptable.

This job calls for the ability to keep track of and execute complex projects which may have over a dozen stakeholders and dozens of deliverables and deadlines. You have a mind for detail like a steel trap. Ideally, you have a track record of helping to produce complex projects.

You are a meticulous planner and do not procrastinate. If you have the opportunity to attack a task or project ahead of time, you do it.

This job does not call for managing fundraising, PR, digital/social assets or any legal work, but the person in this job will collaborate closely with the stakeholders who do and either has experience, knowledge or interest in these areas and can see the big picture of how these functions fit together.
