Guardian Society: Estate and Planned Giving
The Guardian Society is a growing group of individuals who have made a forward thinking commitment to equality by establishing a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) or including Lambda Legal as a beneficiary of their wills, retirement plans, life insurance, trusts or other estate-planning vehicles.
Supporting Lambda Legal’s work through estate planning not only ensures that you are leaving a legacy for equality, it may also offer significant tax benefits, income for retirement, and the member benefits of Lambda Legal.

Tax-Wise Ways to Leave a Legacy
By leaving Lambda Legal in your will, you can support our fight for equality without giving up crucial assets you may need now.
Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA)
One of our most popular planned giving vehicles, CGAs allow individuals 55 or older to establish a partially tax-free source of retirement income while still giving to Lambda Legal.
For individuals able to provide for loved ones through other means, making a gift of retirement assets may save your partner the significant burden of paying both estate and income taxes on the assets.
Donating your life insurance policy to Lambda Legal may allow you to claim an immediate income tax deduction for the current value of the policy and you may also be able to deduct your future premium payments.
Charitable remainder trusts offer supporters a way to provide for their loved ones immediately while also supporting Lambda Legal.
For Tax and Financial Professionals
