On March 5, the California Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in our challendge to Prop 8. The question is whether Prop 8 should be upheld, which would allow discrimination to be written into the California Constitution, preventing same-sex couples from being able to marry in the state. Lambda Legal is ready to reply — but we need you!
Prop 8 has served as a rallying point for those who believe in full equality — we understand that this moment is not simply about marriage in one state; it's about the discrimination, second-class status and harassment LGBT people face all over America.
