Lambda Legal is proud to announce Around the Table: Iowa’s First Annual Summit of LGBT Families & Allies! This summit is the first statewide gathering of its kind in Iowa, and will provide LGBT parents, prospective parents, and their children, friends, and allies an opportunity to come together for advocacy, support, learning, and fun.

Around the Table brings together a broad coalition of advocates who want to strengthen Iowa’s LGBT families. Workshops will include topics relevant to participants who want to:
- get perspectives on how to start a family
- share experiences and learn from others what it means for same-sex couples to raise children in Iowa
- support LGBT parents and their kids in their classrooms, neighborhoods, and living rooms
- learn about how to best protect their families under existing law
- empower their children to talk about their family proudly
- be advocates for protecting marriage equality in Iowa
This is a family friendly summit. Child care will be provided and COLAGE will provide learning and fun for youth 9-17 years old.
