Tracey Guyot-Wallace, Partner at Jackson Walker, One of Two New Board Members
October 23, 2012

(Dallas, October 23, 2012) – Lambda Legal announced the election of two new leaders to serve on its Board of Directors, including Tracey Guyot-Wallace of Dallas, a partner in the law firm of Jackson Walker, LLP. Joining the Board as well is John Richards, an associate in the Washington, DC, law firm of Morgan Lewis.

"Tracey's commitment to equality for LGBT people and people living with HIV, as well as her service on our Dallas Leadership Committee, makes her an exciting addition to our Board as we continue to expand our presence in Texas and across the South Central region," said Kevin Cathcart, Executive Director of Lambda Legal.

Guyot-Wallace's practice focuses on the defense and trial of complex cases in federal and state courts. She has represented a broad range of state, national, and international clients in the full spectrum of employment matters. She has also drafted manuals and policies for companies, and trained employees. Her labor counseling and representation involves the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) and Railway Labor Act (RLA).

"We look forward to the energy and commitment Tracey and John will bring to the Board and to Lambda Legal as we continue to make the case for LGBT equality across the country," Cathcart added. "We greatly appreciate that they are willing to volunteer in this effort."

"I am delighted to be joining the Board of Lambda Legal, whose work I have admired and supported, most recently as a member of the Dallas Leadership Committee and Chair of the Women's Brunch," Guyot-Wallace said. "In conversations with friends, colleagues, and family, I have come to realize how important Lambda Legal's work is in shaping the national conversation about LGBT legal issues and in achieving results for all of us."
