(Wilmington, NC, February 6, 2006) — Lambda Legal facilitated a settlement agreement in a case in which a man with HIV, was fired from his job as a cook for a small restaurant because of his HIV status.

(Atlanta, Georgia, May 18, 2005) — Just months after launching a national campaign against the company, Lambda Legal has reached a settlement agreement with Nodak Enterprises bringing to a close a federal lawsuit filed on behalf of Joey Saavedra who was fired because he has HIV.

(Atlanta, February 16, 2005) — Lambda Legal today launched a nationwide drive to mobilize its members and the public to urge Nodak Enterprises not to discriminate against employees with HIV. Nodak, a major auto-glass retailer in several southern states, fired highly skilled glass installer Joey Saavedra because he has HIV.

(New Orleans, January 26, 2005) – In oral arguments set for Monday, January 31, at 10 a.m. at the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, Lambda Legal will fight off an attack by an antigay group seeking to end the City of New Orleans’ policy extending health insurance benefits to domestic partners of its gay and lesbian workers as well as the city’s domestic partner registry.

Lambda Legal represents a lesbian couple whose San Diego country club refused to treat them like other committed couples.

(New York, September 14, 2004) – Lambda Legal said today that it will protest against Foot Locker outside WNBA games in several cities – including a game in New York on Thursday night – because the company discriminated against a gay employee. Foot Locker is strengthening its ties with the women’s basketball league.
