Free Webinar Series: Representing LGBT Immigrants

Lambda Legal is proud to endorse this free webinar series on representing and meeting the legal needs of LGBT immigrants. The series was organized by the Immigrant Legal Resource Center and will be conducted in English.

Increasing LGBT Visibility at Latinos Festival

In Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, Lambda Legal collaborated with local Latino LGBT organizations to have a presence at Fiesta del Sol, a large Latino community festival. Together we passed out information and educational materials and asked for the support of the community to include LGBT immigrants in immigration reform. In Los Angeles, Lambda Legal united local Latino LGBT groups to march as an LGBT contingent for a couple of parades celebrating Mexican and Central American independence. Sign up to be a volunteer at these and other Lambda Legal community efforts.

Increasing LGBT visibility among Latino lawyers

Lambda Legal supports the LGBT section of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and helps foster LGBT leadership and increase LGBT visibility amongst Hispanic attorneys. We also organized trainings at the HNBA’s annual convention for Latino lawyers from around the country, increasing support of these Latino leaders and their capacity to effectively represent LGBT clients and clients with HIV. If you are an attorney that is sensitive to LGBT issues or HIV issues, please join our Cooperating Attorney Network.
