This brief charges that Ohio's antigay constitutional amendment should have no impact on the state's domestic violence law. Further, it states that all other rights and respect outside of marriage continue to be legal to all Ohio citizens, therefore same-sex couples are not exempt from the protections and possible punishments from the state's domestic violence law.

Though the California Medical Association rightly condemns sexual orientation discrimination, its claim that a physician should be able to choose which procedures he performs is irrelevant to this case.

This brief argues that a Maryland father's HIV status and occasional temporary illness are not proper grounds to award custody to the children's grandmother who took care of the children during his hospital stay. The courts previous ruling to take away custody constitutes a violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and ignores established facts about individuals living with HIV.
