Amicus Curiae Brief in Support of Petitioner-Appellant Y.S. and Seeking Reversal of Decision of Board of Immigration Appeals

Case: In re Y.S.

Thursday, August 31, 2006
| United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit

(This brief has been redacted and modified to protect privacy)

This brief argues for the reversal of a previous decision by the Board of Immigration to not grant a Palestinian man asylum. Due to substantial evidence that the plaintiff would face significant persecution and harassment on the basis of his sexual orientation if forced to return to his country of origin, the plaintiff is entitled to asylum under U.S. immigration law.
