Securing the Marriage Equality Victory
It’s Time NJ:
Celebrating the Marriage
Equality Victory
November 7, 2013
6:00pm - 8:00pm
Montclair State University
1 Normal Ave
Montclair, NJ 07043

Congratulations! After more than 10 years of working together for justice, New Jersey is now the 14th state to have marriage equality! Same-sex couples and their families can finally have the joy, dignity and security of marriage.

Please join us in celebrating this momentous victory, and to honor Lambda Legal’s plaintiffs and partners who have helped us get to where we are today.

The evening will include a “Q&A” session about what the victory means for you and your family, and about federal benefits and responsibilities after the demise of DOMA.

Lambda Legal first went to court in 2002 seeking the freedom to marry for same-sex couples in New Jersey. The journey since then has included two lawsuits and years of education and advocacy with our partner, Garden State Equality.

We’ve come a long way, so let’s take this opportunity to celebrate our achievements and look toward the future! Please RSVP to Aron Cobbs at acobbs@lambdalegal.org or call (212) 809 8585 x281.

This event is free and open to the public. Feel free to bring family and friends. A light dinner will be provided. Free parking in CarParc Diem from 5:30-8:30 pm.
