LGBT Legal Update: Is the Door Closing on DOMA?

Join Lambda Legal and our generous host Morrison & Foerster for this free community forum exploring recent developments surrounding the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).

After standing nearly fifteen years as a dark beacon of inequality, DOMA has come under heavy attack over the past year. Several federal legal cases asserting its unconstitutionality—including Lambda Legal and Morrison & Foerster's case Golinski v. Office of Personnel Management—are making their way through the courts. President Obama has announced his support for the repeal of DOMA, and the Department of Justice has taken the position that the law cannot withstand heightened constitutional scrutiny.

This community forum will delve into these developments and look beyond to a post-DOMA future. The evening will include a lively discussion and opportunities for guests to ask questions of our panel of experts.
