Protected and Served? Interactions with Police, Courts, Prisons and School Security
Often, when LGBT people and people living HIV interact with police, school security, courts and the prison system we don’t feel protected and served. Perhaps you’ve experienced discrimination firsthand, or you witnessed a friend or family member being mistreated. Maybe you even have a positive experience to tell. Lambda Legal wants to hear your story. It will be used to strengthen our ongoing and developing work on these issues and may be posted on this website.
Please note: If you need assistance or advice about legal matters, you should immediately contact the Lambda Legal Help Desk.
This project is part of our national Government Misconduct Campaign. We recently conducted a national survey to collect data about the LGBT and HIV communities’ experiences with police, school security, courts and prisons and will be releasing a survey report later this year.
