(St. Louis, Missouri, February 13, 2006) — In oral arguments today at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the American Civil Liberties Union and Lambda Legal urged the court to uphold a lower court ruling which struck down the extreme antigay family law in Nebraska banning all protections for the relationships of same-sex couples.

(New Orleans, December 20, 2005) — In a ruling made public yesterday, the Court of Appeal for the Fourth Circuit of Louisiana upheld a lower court ruling protecting New Orleans’ Domestic Partnership Registry and health insurance benefits for domestic partners of the city’s employees after a legal attack from the Alliance Defense Fund, an antigay legal group.

(Warren County, Ohio, May 18, 2005) — Arguing that Ohio’s new marriage amendment is limited to barring same-sex couples from marriage, Lambda Legal will seek leave to file friend-of-the-court papers in two domestic violence cases currently on appeal in state court.

LINCOLN, NE – The American Civil Liberties Union and Lambda Legal filed their opening trial brief today in federal court urging the court to strike down a Nebraska constitutional amendment that bars the state and cities from ever granting any type of legal recognition for same-sex couples.
