HONORING: THE CONNECTICUT WOMEN'S EDUCATION AND LEGAL FUND (CWEALF)
The Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund (CWEALF) is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women, girls and their families to achieve equal opportunities in their personal and professional lives. CWEALF pioneered Connecticut’s battle for workplace equity, ensured gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability status were included in the state’s hate crimes law, and fought for marriage equality.
HONORING: JOHN DODIG
Principal John Dodig has worked tirelessly and methodically in the Connecticut school system to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all students. As Lambda Legal plaintiff Julia Frost tells her story about discrimination in her school, we honor Principal Dodig as a role model of support and acceptance to schools, communities, and students.
