In a major victory for fair courts, the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals today ruled in Wolfson v. Concannon that the rules in the Arizona Judicial Conduct Code restricting political activities of judges and judicial candidates do not violate the U.S. Constitution.
The Sedona, Arizona, City Council amended the City Code to include a new chapter prohibiting discrimination in public accommodations, employment and housing on the basis of race, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, marital status, familial status, age, disability or veteran status.
