Lambda Legal is proud to honor the courage and strength of our Black clients, who, in the face of discrimination on the basis of their race, in addition to their gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or HIV status, fought to make the case for equality.
For decades, Lambda Legal has fought to improve life for a diverse community of LGBT people and people with HIV who, decades ago, were penalized or barely recognized under the law. These stories highlight some of the people on the front lines in the battle for legal equality.
