Edwin Tablada is a Community Educator for Lambda Legal, the oldest and largest national legal organization committed to achieving full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and people with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.
Edwin joined Lambda Legal in 2013. He focuses on advocacy issues around criminal justice reform, policing, government misconduct and public policy. He is responsible for the creation and implementation of educational and outreach efforts in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. His area of expertise includes strategic campaign management, program development, and coalition and partnership building with local communities and organizations. He advances the “Stop Prison Rape in Texas” campaign, develops the national Pride strategy, and promotes the “Protected and Served?” national survey exploring discrimination by police, courts, prisons and school security against the LGBT community.
He has presented and represented Lambda Legal at multiple conferences across the movement, including Creating Change, the NQAPIA National Conference, Facing Race, and the Philly Trans Health Conference.
Edwin received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida.
