The intern will assist the web and design manager with the daily responsibilities of web upkeep and publication design. The intern will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic decisions, and will acquire real world experience with both the creative and managerial aspects of web and design work. The ideal intern will be self-directed and motivated to develop his or her own projects as the internship progresses.
Interns must be able to work 10 to 15 hours a week between 9:30 and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at Lambda Legal’s office, located at 120 Wall Street.
Qualifications
We are seeking one detail-oriented and well-organized intern with an interest in web and print design. A familiarity with issues that are important to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and people with HIV is not necessary, but will strengthen an application. Interns should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and have some experience with Adobe Creative Suite and HTML.
Compensation
As this is a nonpaying position, applicants are strongly encouraged to seek out and apply for grants from their school or other sources.
